Why the oven decides so many inspections
Cooking grease bakes into a hard carbon layer that ordinary kitchen spray lifts off the surface but not out of the corners, the rack rails or the gap between the door panes. That is exactly where a property manager looks, which is why the oven turns up so often on Sydney exit reports even when the rest of the kitchen looks fine.
If you are moving out, the oven is already covered by our move-out clean and our bond clean, and you can see how those quotes are worked out. Staying put? Book the oven on its own.
What the oven clean covers
- Oven cavity, roof, floor and side walls degreased
- Racks, trays and side rails cleaned separately
- Inner and outer door glass, including between the panes where accessible
- Seals, hinges and the oven frame wiped down
- Stovetop, trivets, burners or ceramic surface
- Rangehood canopy and washable filters
Good to know before we arrive
- The oven needs to be cool — please switch it off a few hours ahead
- Self-cleaning and pyrolytic ovens are cleaned by hand, not run on their cycle
- Damaged seals, cracked glass or worn enamel are pre-existing wear, not cleaning items
- Very heavy build-up can take longer, and we tell you before extra time is spent
- Apartments may need a lift booking or building access arranged
- Fixed appliances are not moved out of joinery
The item agents check first
Ovens are one of the most commonly listed items on Sydney exit reports, because baked-on grease is easy to see and hard to remove with supermarket sprays.
Dismantled, not wiped over
Racks, trays, side rails and glass are removed where they are designed to come out, so the cavity and the inside of the door glass are both cleaned.
Rangehood and stovetop too
Grease travels. Filters, the rangehood canopy, splashback and stovetop trivets are treated at the same visit so the whole cooking zone matches.
Included in a bond clean
Oven, stovetop and rangehood cleaning is already part of our standard end of lease clean — book oven cleaning alone only if that is all you need.
Oven cleaning questions
How much does oven cleaning cost in Sydney?
It depends on the size and condition of the oven and whether you add the stovetop and rangehood. Enter your details in the online quote and the pricing for your job is shown before you book — there is no obligation to proceed.
Do I need a separate oven clean for my bond clean?
No. Oven, stovetop and rangehood cleaning is already included in our standard end of lease clean. A standalone oven clean suits owners and long-term tenants who only want the cooking area done.
Can you clean an oven that has not been touched in years?
Usually yes. Heavy carbon build-up simply takes longer to break down, so tell us the oven has not been cleaned recently and we allow more time for it in the quote.
Will the oven be usable straight after?
Yes. The cavity is rinsed and dried once the degreaser has done its job, so you can use the oven again the same day.
